Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

ID6 is responsible for providing Operations Support System (OSS) capabilities sustaining Service Assurance capabilities supporting the Operations, Administration, Maintenance and Provisioning (OAM&P) of the DISA managed infrastructure including the DoDIN DISA Ecosystem, and other DISA enterprise capabilities, the Joint Information Environment, the Joint Regional Security Stacks, and other DISA and Department of Defense (DoD) Telecommunications infrastructure and services operated by DISA. The Team shall support and recommend business process and technical re-engineering solutions to ID6 in executing and improving CyberNetOps policies and processes and supporting communications of CyberNetOps requirements and capabilities. 

Responsibilities:

  • The System Team Leads shall provide SME support to architect, design, integrate, deploy, secure, operationalize, sustain, document, patch, monitor, optimize and evolve CyberNetOps capabilities (includes Cyber Situational Awareness/NetOps, Big Data Analytics, and Defensive Cyber Operations for networking, compute and user application) across all environments used for development, pre-production, DevOps and production.  
  • The System Team Leads will be considered key personnel regarding their specifically assigned areas of expertise. The system leads shall possess detailed knowledge of all ID6 CyberNetOps capabilities currently in planning and production.
    • A dedicated technical team lead will be responsible for each of the following major systems:
      • Element Management System (EMS) – IP, Optical, Voice, Video, Data, Crypto, SATCOM
      • Network Management System (NMS) – Performance, Situational Awareness, Ticketing, CMDB, Report Management
      • Service Management System (SMS) & Service Assurance
      • Telemetry Systems (management and control plane/out of band management)
      • Including the Data Communications Network (DCN)/IP Networking/IP and follow-on systems
      • Web Services & Service Portals/Dashboards
      • Enterprise Service Bus/Middleware
      • Security Systems (Hardware and Software) – Firewall
      • Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS), Host-based Scanning
      • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and follow-on security systems
      • Support Systems (Windows, Solaris, Linux, DNS
      • Storage Area Network/Network Attached Storage (SAN/NAS)
      • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol/ Authentication, Authorization, Accounting (LDAP/AAA)/Active Directory
      • Zero/Thin Client Operator Environment), and follow-on support systems and components
      • Database Systems (Oracle, SQL), and follow-on database systems and components
      • Data Center environment – Performance, situational awareness, ticketing
      • Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Report Management
      • Log Aggregation and SIEM reporting
  • The system team leads are designated as POCs to work directly with Government personnel on the planning, engineering, implementation, and sustainment of capabilities engineered and/or supported by this PWS. 
    • The System Leads shall be required to perform the following:
      • Attend meetings to discuss current and planned system capabilities.
      • Identify gaps in current capabilities to meet anticipated or identified requirements.
      • Assist Government with Technical Refreshment & Enhancement Planning.
      • Produce Bills of Material supporting planning requirements or current system solution.
      • Maintain system drawings for each system area including system interfaces.
      • Conduct briefings and demonstrations of system capabilities.
  • As a team member you will support the pre-award solutioning orals and full-time on-site and/or remote team member post award. The candidate system team leads are designated as POCs to work directly with Government personnel on the planning, engineering, implementation, and sustainment of capabilities engineered and/or supported by this PWS.
    • The System Leads shall be required to perform the following:
      • Attend meetings to discuss current and planned system capabilities.
      • Identify gaps in current capabilities to meet anticipated or identified requirements.
      • Assist Government with Technical Refreshment & Enhancement Planning.
      • Produce Bills of Material supporting planning requirements or current system solution.
      • Maintain system drawings for each system area including system interfaces.
      • Conduct briefings and demonstrations of system capabilities.
      • Requirements development and analysis.
      • System and Security Architecture development.
      • Network modeling, analysis, and planning.
      • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines.
      • Network troubleshooting.
      • Technical planning and analysis, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses.

Requirements:    (Clearance/Citizenship)

  • Must possess an Active DoD Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI
  • US Citizenship

Experience:    

  • 7+ years' experience engineering solutions in relevant major system area

Education:         

  • Bachelor Degree/Master Degree
