Payroll Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Handle full payroll function independently
  • Process bi-weekly employee payroll timely and accurately in compliance to tax regulations
  • Process out of cycle payroll
  • Process LQA, Client, HARDSHIP, BONUS etc payments
  • Ensure employee leave balances in CostPoint is accurately posted
  • Create New Hires in Costpoint and Time & Expense
  • Add charge code to employee timesheet
  • Review and verify timesheets
  • Approve/Reject, Enter Correcting timesheets
  • Verify and maintain employee profile in ADP
  • Submit employee payroll contribution files (such as 401K, Flexible Benefits)
  • Set up state tax withholding account
  • Prepare reports as requested from the HR Manager and management
  • Reviews all payroll account reconciliations
  • Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate
  • Address payroll related inquiries and requests from employees
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior payroll staffs
  • Handle payroll audits from different agency / authority such as Department of Labor, 401K, state unemployment, Workers’ Compensation etc
  • Handle payroll fiscal year end closed in Costpoint
  • Handle payroll calendar year-end processing in ADP including W-2, short/long term disability payments, set up new deduction codes, health insurance enrollment etc
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
  • Experience with ADP and Costpoint accounting software
  • Demonstrated coaching/mentoring skills
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of tax reciprocity rules and other related income tax regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
